Lynne Sijbrant, Principal

Lynne has been in legal practice in Wellington since 2006. She has developed significant knowledge, expertise and relationships in a wide range of legal matters across the wider health and disability sector.  

Lynne has previously worked at Russell McVeagh in Public Law and Commercial Advisory teams, specialising in health and disability legal matters for clients in the home and community, disability, aged care, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sectors (as well as practising in general commercial, governance, privacy, and emissions trading/climate change areas).

During 2013-2016, Lynne was the in-house General Counsel for Healthcare of New Zealand (HHL Group), providing a wide range of legal services to the Group and its subsidiaries (covering 20,000 clients and 7,500 employees). As part of this role, Lynne was a member of the executive leadership team, with responsibilities for contract and risk management and legal compliance, as well as filling the Group Privacy Officer role.

She has recently been a key member of the negotiation team representing the home and community sector providers for In-Between Travel and Equal Pay solutions along with the Crown, funders, and unions.  Previously she has also been involved on behalf of providers in the sleepovers litigation and resulting policy changes.
